Job summary

Crane Co. is seeking a MIG Welder I for 1st shift in Marion, NC. You will weld iso-bend pipe and fittings, read blueprints, and set up pipe sections per engineering specifications.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a welding qualifications test, with preferred five+ years in manufacturing. The position is full-time on-site, with responsibilities spanning inspection, cutting, tack welding, and final welds using appropriate tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must lift parts up to 50 lbs; team lift for heavier items.
• Fabrication experience and ability to read blueprints/sketches.
• Must pass Crane welding qualifications test (plate, pipe, root, passes, X-ray).

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect components for conformance and cleanliness.
• Cut iso-bend pipe to length and mark cut-off points.
• Set up pipes and weld housings per specs.
• Weld fittings and special products per specs and procedures.
• Read blueprints and interpret drawings; verify measurements.
