Job summary

744 Crane ChemPharma & Energy Corp is seeking a Welder I in Georgia to perform assembly and MIG welding of iso-bend pipe and fittings to engineering specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, inspecting parts, and welding per procedure.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass Crane welding qualifications with an 8-inch coupon plate test and X-ray requirements. Experience with fabrication and blueprints, plus ability to work from drawings, will be essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Capability to read measuring instruments (tape, micrometers, calipers).
• Must pass Crane welding qualifications test including plate test and X-ray requirements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect components for compliance with work order specs and for burrs, defects, and cleanliness.
• Calculate cut length of iso-bend pipe and mark cut-off points.
• Set-up pipes sever machine and cut to length without cutting the liner.
• Weld pipe housings and fittings per specifications.
• Verify spool length with liner thickness and complete inspection sheet.
• Tack weld fittings and special products using appropriate tooling.
• Perform welding in the position specified by procedure and welder qualification.
• Read drawings and interpret specifications.
