Job summary

Cincinnati Fan, part of SPX Technologies, seeks a skilled welder to join our Engineered Air Movement manufacturing team. You will perform MIG tack welding to produce durable metal components, reading blueprints and work orders, and ensuring quality across all parts.

Opportunities on 1st and 2nd shifts support manufacturing timelines. The role requires at least 1 year of MIG welding in production, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

Qualifications

• 1 year MIG welding in production/manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy.
• Forklift certification.
• Overhead crane operation.
• Self-driven, able to work independently, and as a team.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld to specifications and out of position on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up.
• Read blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches.
• Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts and production items.
• Prepare metals and surfaces for the production process.
• Select proper tools, materials, gas ratios, and fixturing/shipping brackets as needed.
• Transfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklift as needed.
• Perform light maintenance on equipment and devices used in the normal course of work.
• Complete tasks with minimum supervision.
