Mig Welder

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who take pride in their job, are efficient with their time, add value, and thrive in a team-oriented environment to join our Weld Team. Successful candidates will have prior work experience as a Mig Welder of large mechanical equipment and be capable of reading blueprints and schematics successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Welding and fabrication: pulse MIG Welding
• Carbon/structural steel
• Fit and weld prefabricated metal parts
• Inspect completed weldments for quality
• Good quality and attention to detail required
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams

Qualifications:

• MIG experience with large weldments
• Experience with solid wire with gas process
• Able to weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
• Must work quickly, skillfully, and accurately to meet production and quality requirements
• Good attendance is required
• Must be fit for duty, with the ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift 50+ lbs
• Must be reliable, able to be on time for daily shift, and have dependable transportation
• Knowledge of and ability to correctly use basic hand tools
• Follow all safe work practices and wear proper PPE
• Work well independently and as a team
• Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred

Education:

• Welding certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to reasonably commute to York, SC on a daily basis and have dependable transportation
