Job description

MIG Welders Needed in Strawberry Point, IA!
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM
$22-$24/Hour Based on Experience

A local curtain system manufacturer is looking for qualified MIG welders to join their team. Candidates should be responsible, reliable, and able to work independently on a variety of parts to include brackets, doors and cages for drive units, steel 2x4s, vertical pipe, trolleys, etc. Material used is primarily galvanized. N95 masks and Miller fume extractors will be provided where needed.

Duties Include:

1. Gathering and properly positioning material/parts to be welded.
2. Using various machines/tools to help cut, bend and punch parts.
3. Welding parts based on requirements.
4. Package parts to fill orders, and load trucks for shipment.
5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, to include sweeping shop daily or weekly as needed.

Minimum Qualifications include:

1. Must pass a welding test.
2. Prior experience with MIG welding.
3. Ability to effectively perform job tasks with little to no quality defects or guidance.
4. Willingness to learn.
