Job summary

IQ Resource Group, Inc. is seeking MIG Welders for the Manitowoc area, offering first and second shift with 4–10 hour workdays and a 3-day weekend. Earn $23.47 per hour with excellent health insurance, including dental, disability, prescription, and vision coverage.

Responsibilities include reading drawings and specifications, planning weld layouts, selecting welding methods, inspecting parts, and producing quality welds across multiple processes while maintaining safety and production metrics.

Qualifications

• Two years of welding experience with documented safety, quality and production metrics.
• Pass the basic math assessment with minimum passing score of 70%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Check grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
• Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.

Our client in the Manitowoc Area is currently recruiting for MIG Welders on 1st and 2nd shift. Work only 4 – 10 hours shifts and enjoy your 3-day weekend.

Schedule

• 6:00 am - 4:00 pm: Monday through Thursday
• 4:00 pm - 2:30 am; Monday through Thursday

Compensation

$23.47/hr
