Job description

Job Title: 2nd Shift MIG Welder

FLSA/Status: Temp to Hire

Salary Range: $20+ per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift: 4pm - 12:30am

Benefits: Full benefits package after being hired by the client, including bonus opportunities

Critical Job Functions

  • Operate and complete set-ups on welding machinery; troubleshoot and adjust equipment as necessary.
  • MIG weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with material thicknesses of 12g to 20g.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Adhere to the job schedule provided by the Plant Manager and Foreman.
  • Assist fabricators with layout and fabrication of jobs.
  • Perform some assembly of products and skids as required.
  • Report concerns, issues, and material shortages promptly.

Other Job Duties

  • Assist fabricators with equipment setup and operation.
  • Safely operate powered pallet jacks (training and certification provided).
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman.

Skills Required

  • 2-3 years of MIG welding experience in the metal fabricating industry.
  • Experience with Brake Press and Shears.
  • Knowledge of safety and operation issues in metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints.
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
