Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our specialty fabrication team. This role targets detail-oriented welders who produce high-quality, precision-fabricated components using mild steel, stainless, and custom assemblies in a fast-paced setting.

You will perform MIG welding according to blueprints and specifications, read weld symbols, and work with fabrication equipment. The position emphasizes safety, consistency, and teamwork in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
• Understanding of metal preparation, weld settings, and heat control.
• Experience with jigs, fixtures, and custom fabrication setups.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately.
• Must pass a weld test.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies with accuracy and consistency
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, torches, and measuring tools
• Inspect welds for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to shop standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Work closely with supervisors and fabricators to meet daily production goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all OSHA, shop safety, and PPE requirements
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed (cutting, prepping, finishing)

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our specialty fabrication team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented welder who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision-fabricated components. You will work with mild steel, stainless, and custom assemblies in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies with accuracy and consistency


• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, torches, and measuring tools


• Inspect welds for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to shop standards


• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings


• Work closely with supervisors and fabricators to meet daily production goals


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area


• Follow all OSHA, shop safety, and PPE requirements


• Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed (cutting, prepping, finishing)

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
