Aerotek in Effingham, IL is seeking an Entry-Level MIG Welder to perform production MIG welds, read blueprints, set up fixtures, and work across flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

Perform production MIG welding on a variety of steel products
Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
Set up parts and fixtures for welding operations
Weld in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead
Visually inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met
Grind and finish welds as needed
Utilize hand tools and other fabrication equipment
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Work with team members to meet daily production goals
Interest in welding and manufacturing
Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Ability to work in a production environment
Willingness to learn and develop welding skills
Previous MIG welding experience
Welding school, vocational training, or certification
Experience reading blueprints
Experience using grinders, hand tools, and fabrication equipment
Manufacturing or production experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Effingham, IL.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
