Job summary

You will read complex drawings, measure and fit steel parts, and verify weld quality through inspection and testing. Collaboration with production teams and adherence to Lean/5S practices are essential to maintain efficiency and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of metal fabrication or industrial welding experience.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and ability to interpret blueprints/weld symbols.
• Must be able to pass a practical welding assessment.
• Commitment to safety and working well in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise GMAW/MIG welding to assemble structural steel components per engineering specs.
• Analyze drawings and weld symbols to measure, cut, and fit metal parts for final assembly.
• Verify weld quality through visual inspection and testing protocols.
• Identify and resolve fabrication inconsistencies, supporting process improvements.
• Uphold Lean manufacturing and 5S practices to maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet output targets while maintaining craftsmanship.
