Job summary

PALFINGER, a leader in vehicle equipment, seeks a hands-on Installation Welder in Trenton, NJ. You will perform MIG welding and fabricate sub-assemblies and mounted equipment from drawings and SOPs, ensuring AWS standards are met and installations fit precisely.

You will inspect welds, maintain tools, and contribute to safety, quality, and process improvements. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of technical experience with MIG welding are required; reading blueprints and basic math skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of technical experience with a strong mechanical background.
• Experience using MIG welding equipment and common fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills, including applying measurements, ratios, and geometry concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on sub-assemblies, assemblies, and truck equipment installations while adhering to AWS standards and welding guidelines.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, and SOPs to complete installations accurately.
• Operate and maintain welding, cutting, hand, and power tools, including oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment.
• Inspect completed welds and installations to ensure quality, safety, and specification requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, support process improvements, and follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
