Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Welder in Alexandria, MN to perform MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, and repair of metal components. You will read blueprints, inspect welds, and ensure dimensional accuracy while operating forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with welding certification or technical training preferred. Prior MIG/TIG experience and ERP/CAD familiarity are valued. Competitive weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certificate/tech training preferred.
• Previous MIG/TIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience with measuring tools and ERP software.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift/crane operation ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding, cutting, grinding, and finishing operations.
• Inspect welds and verify materials are positioned as per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents.
• Move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes; operate welding tables.
• Accurately record production and inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety procedures.
• Assist with training and mentoring team members; support continuous improvement.
