Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking a Welder II – MIG/TIG to support manufacturing of display cases and related equipment. The role involves welding, layout, and fabrication of aluminum components for machinery frames and shelving, with a focus on precision and safety.

You will read drawings, operate robotic welding, and contribute to prototype work while maintaining a clean, organized work area and following 6S practices. First shift hours are 6am-2:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school or related training is preferred.
• Two years related experience and/or training is required.

Responsibilities

• Cuts aluminum /galvanized metals into various lengths according to work order.
• May use various tools such as radial saw and miter saw.
• Deburr aluminum using electric sander.
• Shapes edges of aluminum according to work order specifications using a punch press.
• Punches holes on plastic or aluminum according to specification on work order using various punch presses.
• Ability to TIG and MIG weld thin aluminum extrusions.
• Ensures work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.
• Read and interpret work orders, documents, drawings, and procedures.
• Develop prototype samples as needed to support engineering projects.
