Job summary

Staffing Inc. in Michigan is seeking experienced welder/fabricators to join our engineering-supported shop. You will perform MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication, reading work orders and drawings to ensure accurate production.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with a 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm and a temp-to-hire path. Our ESOP-backed client emphasizes safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to use basic tools.
• Good team skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG/TIG welding and general welding duties according to job specifications and quality standards.
• Perform general metal fabrication, including cutting, fitting, grinding, and assembly of components.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and job specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Properly identify and select raw materials specified on work orders for each job.
• Work closely and communicate effectively with management, sales, engineering, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality, dimensional, and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper use and care of welding equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Assist with other fabrication and production tasks as needed.
