Job summary

DJS Manufacturing is seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our metal fabrication team. The Welder will perform daily setup and fabricate weldments in carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum, using blueprints to ensure customer specifications are met.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years MIG/TIG welding experience, can set up jobs from prints, and demonstrate strong communication and reliable attendance. We offer a competitive benefits package and a sign-on bonus in a first-shift role at our location.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to set-up jobs from prints.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld sheet metal in constructing customer parts and components.
• Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG and/or TIG welding.
• Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.
• Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Capable of porosity-free TIG welding and MIG welding.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Welder will perform the daily set-up and fabricate/weld (MIG and/or TIG) weldments in a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, utilizing blue prints for set-up and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld sheet metal in constructing customer parts and components


• Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG and/or TIG welding


• Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product
