Job summary

PROFESSIONAL FABRICATION INC in Denmark, WI is seeking a skilled welder for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on welding procedures per blueprints, selecting electrodes, and setting equipment. The position offers a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1:30am) with overtime potential and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

The candidate must read blueprints, perform basic math, ensure quality, and follow safety rules. The company provides on-the-job training in a casual environment and supports teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tooling

Responsibilities

• Welding procedures and techniques as specified in blueprints and specifications.
• Operate welding equipment and tools for planning, layout and preparation of procedures.
• Select type and grade of electrodes, and set operating conditions and equipment settings.
• Read and interpret welding symbols and terminology on blueprints.
• Explain weld safety rules, regulations, and hazards.
• Use math formulas to solve welding problems and lay out weld paths on structures.

Responsibilities

Welding procedures and techniques as specified in blueprints and specifications.

Use welding equipment and tools for planning, layout, and preparation of welding procedures, considering the structural characteristics of materials being welded.

Select type and grade of electrodes or other filler metals, operating conditions, and equipment settings such as current density or arc voltage.

Understands different types of welding processes and procedures; be knowledgeable of commonly used symbols, terms, and definitions.

Be able to explain weld-related safety rules, regulations, practices, and hazards.

Use mathematical formulas related to welding to solve problems; read blueprints; interpret specifications.

Be able to lay out weld joints; file blueprints; lay out ground wire; plan weld path; layout welds on structural members

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 1:30am

OT available and can be flexible
