Job summary

Dotson is seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld metal components, read blueprints, and use gas welders, torches, and hand tools to form permanent bonds.

You will apply electrical currents to heat and bond metals, inspect welded surfaces for quality, maintain 5S standards, follow safety and QA policies, and complete all documentation accurately. • 4–6 years of welding experience required.
• Ability to follow blueprints and specifications.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Job Summary

Job Duties

• Weld metal components and parts using specialized equipment such as gas welders, gas torches and hand tools
• Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals
• Plan work by interpreting blueprints, technical procedures and templates
• Observe tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications
• Move fixtures and equipment as required to accomplish various jobs
• Complete all documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under minimal supervision
• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
• May provide leadership, coaching and or mentoring
• 4 to 6 years of experience
