Job summary

Smart Resources is seeking a skilled MIG Flux Welder to join our welding team. You will set up and operate MIG and flux welders, read blueprints, and produce high-quality welds on pressure vessels and custom fabrications.

Work under the Welding Supervisor, collaborating with fitters and inspectors to ensure weld quality. Maintain safety standards with PPE and regular equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MIG and flux welding experience.
• AWS welding certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding operations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Perform welds on pressure vessels and custom fabrications following project specifications
• Collaborate with fitters and quality inspectors to ensure weld quality and consistency
• Inspect welds visually and with gauges for compliance with quality standards
• Perform routine equipment maintenance including cleaning and adjustment of welding machines
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures including use of personal protective equipment

The MIG Flux Welder plays a critical role in fabricating and assembling metal components by setting up and operating MIG and flux welding equipment.
