Job summary

Spherion Gainesville, FL is seeking Aluminum Welders to join their driven team. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role focuses on fabrications and welding, with a pay rate of $18.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience.

The schedule is Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Candidates should have 1–4 years welding experience, a High School diploma, and MIG welding ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in welding.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Equivalent education and work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform modifications and repairs to field and shop equipment.
• Provide support to the machinist for repairs and maintenance on prestressing equipment.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain and repair equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
