Job summary

Spherion Gainesville, FL is seeking an Aluminum Welder to join their team. The role involves fabrications and welding, with a focus on MIG welding and heavy equipment; prior welding experience and a willingness to learn are preferred.

Work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to successful project completions. This is a full-time position, temporary to permanent hire, with schedule Monday–Thursday 7:00 am–4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am–11:00 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• MIG welding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform modifications and repairs to field and shop equipment.
• Provide support to the machinist for repairs and maintenance on prestressing equipment.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain and repair equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

This position will be responsible for performing fabrications and welding. The ideal candidate has previous welding experience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to be a team player in a thriving environment. Position: Full-time position, Temporary to Permanent Hire! Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, 7:00 am - 11:00 am Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00/ hour - depending on experience
