Job summary

ABB Smart Buildings seeks a Midwest Sales Specialist – East to manage relationships with Manufacturer Sales Representatives and drive profitable growth through market penetration in the Midwest Electrical Products segment. The role is remote in the US and reports to the Account Manager.

The position requires a minimum of 10 years in sales or contract negotiations within electrical distribution, with a Bachelor’s degree and rep-management experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of market experience with contract negotiations and/or sales in the electrical distribution industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution and/or electrical construction industry.
  • Experience managing sales reps preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable growth by expanding Midwest Electrical Products’ market penetration.
  • Define sales targets and metrics to monitor performance.
  • Negotiate key contracts and coordinate with Product Management on pricing impact.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, Reps, and operations to identify opportunities.

Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Account Manager__The Midwest Sales Specialist – East will manage relationships with approximately one dozen Manufacturer Sales Representatives for Midwest Electrical Products.The work model for the role is: Remote #LI-remoteYour role and responsibilities:Drive and ensure profitable growth by focusing on the Midwest Electrical Products’ market penetration and expansion activities.Defines key sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance.Identify, monitor, and maintain/exceed the sales market price levels, after evaluating the pricing impact on the results with the Product Management team.Interface closely with all stakeholders including Sales Managers, Reps, Commercial Operations & Strategic Customers to develop understanding of areas of opportunity and to provide executable proposals.Leverage breadth and depth of Commercial Operations team by collaborating with peers.Participate in the negotiation of key contracts.Understand and address commercial factors such as project duration, project location and basic terms and conditions.Provide guidance to the teams and seek knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.Qualifications for the role:Minimum 10 years of market experience with contract negotiations and/or sales role in the electrical distribution industryBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in a related disciplineKnowledge of electrical distribution and/or electrical construction industryExperience managing sales reps preferredMore about usABB Smart Buildings enables optimization of energy efficiency, safety, security and comfort forany building type, through new installations or retrofit solutions.
