Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a RW Regional Relief Pilot for the Midwest region. You will ensure aircraft airworthiness, flight safety, and coordination with medical teams to transport patients to receiving hospitals across the Midwest.

The role requires extensive flight hours, FAR/AIM/GOM knowledge, and the ability to plan flights under tight timelines. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years related experience or training; associate degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Maintain required FAA medical and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Complete pre-flight checks and daily flight logs.
• Act as final authority for aircraft operations and safety.
• Ensure medical crew and patient transport readiness in assigned area.
• Prepare detailed flight plans with short notice.
