Job summary

Zurich Middle Markets in the Midwest is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter or AVP Underwriting Director focusing on Financial Institutions P&C. You will serve as a customer advocate, manage brokers, and lead underwriting strategy to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Hybrid role based in Overland Park, St. Louis, or Chicago with strong collaboration across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and underwriting. Competitive total rewards and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant underwriting experience.
• Experience working with brokers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to manage quotes under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, partners, and customers.
• Leverage underwriting acumen for risk assessment, exposure evaluation, and pricing.
• Collaborate across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and underwriting teams.
• Grow relationships with preferred distribution partners in designated territory.
