Job summary

The Flowery in New York is seeking a friendly retail associate to join our cannabis dispensary team. You will handle opening and closing, assist customers, process orders, and maintain a compliant store environment.

Starting wage is $20 per hour. Prior retail or cannabis experience is preferred. You will also assist with promotional activities and occasional deliveries using an electric scooter.

Responsibilities

• Perform store opening and closing procedures (such as cleaning, tablet placement/removal, and prepping workstations, opening and closing registers).
• Create an environment prioritizing customer interactions and providing excellent service.
• Check in, verify and/or create new customer profiles at entry to the dispensary.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and interactions.
• Control the pace of customer traffic within the dispensary.
• Educate and assist customers with orders by providing product suggestions based on recommendations.
• Inform customers of current promotions or highlighted products.
• Create customer orders and accept payment at POS using the operating system.
• Keep up to date with company brands, products, policies and procedures.
• Budtenders will assist in occasional deliveries (scheduled and discussed ahead of time).
• Complete local deliveries via electric scooter.
• Provide marketing support, including distributing flyers and storefront activations.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with customer information and interactions (on and off the clock)
• Controlling the pace of customer traffic within the dispensary
• Educate and assist customers in creating orders by providing suggestions in regard to available products based on physician recommendations and specific customerneeds
• Informing customers of any current promotions or highlighted products
• Create customer orders and accept payment at POS using provided operating system
• Keep up to date with company brands, products, policies and procedures
• Budtenders will be to assist in occasional deliveries (scheduled and discussed ahead of time)
• Complete local deliveries via electric scooter
• Provide marketing support as needed, including but not limited to distributing flyers, assisting with storefront activations, and participating in brand collaboration events.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
