Job summary

The Flowery is seeking a dedicated Budtender in Tampa, FL to assist customers in a compliant, welcoming dispensary environment. You will check in patients, verify profiles, discuss product options, and create orders while ensuring confidentiality and accurate POS transactions.

Starting wage is $16.00 per hour with full-time benefits, paid time off, and paid holidays. Applicants must be 21+, pass a federal background check, and meet scheduling and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform store opening and closing procedures (cleaning, tablet placement/removal, prep workstations).
• Create an environment prioritizing patients and interactions.
• Check in, verify and/or create new patient profiles.
• Communicate allotments and MMJ licensing status to patients/caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Control the pace of patient traffic in the dispensary.
• Educate patients and assist in creating orders based on physician recommendations.
• Inform patients of promotions or highlighted products.
• Create orders and accept payment at POS.
• Maintain knowledge of brands, products, policies, and procedures.
• Occasionally assist with deliveries as needed.
• Keep the facility clean and complete daily checklists.

Job description

• Perform store opening and closing procedures (such as cleaning, tablet placement/removal, and prepping workstations)
• Create an environment prioritizing patients and providing excellent patient interactions
• Check in, verify and/or create new patient profiles upon entry to the dispensary
• Communicate to patients and caregivers their available allotments and MMJ licensing status
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with patient information and interactions (on and off the clock)
• Controlling the pace of patient traffic within the dispensary
• Educate and assist patients in creating orders by providing suggestions in regard to available products based on physician recommendations and specific patient needs
• Informing patients of any current promotions or highlighted products
• Create patient orders and accept payment at POS using provided operating system
• Keep up to date with company brands, products, policies and procedures
• Budtenders may be asked to assist in occasional deliveries (scheduled and discussed ahead of time)
• Maintaining facility cleanliness and completing daily checklists while on shift
• Other duties as assigned by management

Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour. The Flowery offers benefits, paid time off accruals and paid holidays to all full-time employees.

• Obtained a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
