Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation invites motivated students to join its internship/co-op program in the United States. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on midstream projects across Natural Gas & NGL Services, gaining hands-on exposure to engineering disciplines and field operations.

You will participate in projects spanning automation, electrical, chemical/process engineering and pipeline integrity, with on-site responsibilities at various facilities; an engineer-in-training

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Authorized to work in the United States with the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
• MIN - $33.54 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour

Responsibilities

• Project scope development, including estimating, scheduling, design, contractor engagement and construction oversight.
• DOT-regulated pipeline integrity and maintenance programs.
• Field work at pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, gas processing plants and related facilities.
• Support midstream initiatives across our Natural Gas & NGL Services operations, including: Automation/controls engineering, Electrical engineering, Process engineering, Process optimization engineering, Project engineering, Operations engineering, Reliability engineering, Pipeline integrity, Corrosion, Measurement services
