Converge Resources is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design, construction, commissioning, and operation of electrical infrastructure across midstream facilities in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes power generation, distribution, and protective systems for safe and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will lead engineering tasks, review vendor documents, and collaborate with operations, construction, and safety teams to drive project success and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program (required).
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes and industrial power systems.
• Ability to review drawings, calculations, specs, and docs.
• Comfort working independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and evaluate electrical designs for facilities and upgrades.
• Specify electrical equipment for plants, terminals, and pipelines.
• Support medium- and low-voltage power distribution and generation equipment.
• Prepare technical proposals, vendor docs, and material selections.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, and arc-flash studies.
• Create electrical specs, design criteria, and hazardous-area drawings.
• Interpret electrical codes and regulatory standards.
• Provide field engineering support during construction, startup, and commissioning.
• Investigate failures and suggest corrective actions and improvements.
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection and service requirements.
