Job summary

VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY is hiring a Custodian for the mid shift. This role requires performing general cleaning duties within dormitories, offices, and public facilities. Responsibilities include trash disposal, floor cleaning, and maintaining restrooms.

Candidates must be able to follow directions and interact positively with students and staff. The position pays $21.47 per hour, which includes a shift differential. Union position. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
• Ability to interact with customers in a positive and helpful manner.
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend and reach, and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and dispose of trash, includes handling recyclable materials.
• Dust, sweep, and/or dry mop.
• Operate floor machine, wet vac, and carpet extractor.
• Sanitizes washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities.
• Removes snow and ice and cleans debris around entrances.
