Job summary

Candidates should be able to operate hand-held scanners, use dock carts, and sort packages by labels and numbers.

Qualifications

• No education beyond high school required.
• Six months experience in package handling preferred.
• Must be able to understand instructions and safety methods.
• Able to lift, push and pull packages repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches to move trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and/or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handle packages by hand and load/unload onto vehicles, trailers, and carts.
• Sort packages by conveyor system using labels and numbers.
• Other duties as assigned
