Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. in Hazlet, NJ, is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for the midnight shift (6:00 pm to 2:20 am). You will maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in production areas, warehouses, and facilities.

The role involves operating cleaning equipment, removing dust and debris, disposing of waste per regulations, and following PPE and safety procedures. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior cleaning experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and chemical handling.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other specialized tools.
• Remove dust, debris, grease, and waste materials from machinery and work areas.
• Perform routine cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, equipment, and restrooms.
• Dispose of trash and hazardous materials according to company and regulatory guidelines.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with facility shutdown cleaning and deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
