Job summary

IFF is seeking a Production Operations Lead for the third shift in South Brunswick, NJ. The role focuses on safety, quality, and performance while coordinating with QA, maintenance, and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities include supervising batch production, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor. Strong leadership, data analysis, and GMP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in food or chemical manufacturing.
• Ability to analyze process data and use lab equipment (pH meter, densitometer, particle size analyzer).
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production operations to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor daily production flow, shipping efficiency, and on-time orders (ZPro/Oflow).
• Execute batch production activities and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Partner with Quality to ensure products meet standards and lead deviation investigations with CAPA alignment.
• Maintain production documentation per retention policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (6S) and operational excellence on the shop floor.
• Ensure equipment uptime by coordinating maintenance, calibration, and repairs.
• Communicate with warehouse and office teams to resolve needs and escalations.
• Lead daily shift reporting and shop floor tier meetings using the IFF Operating System.

• Ability to manage inventory accuracy, including batch reconciliation and backflushing
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of production equipment
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks)
• Physical capability to meet job demands (lifting, pushing/pulling materials as required)
