Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and nutrition, invites a Production Operator to join the South Brunswick site on the First Shift. You will operate and monitor manufacturing machinery to support packaging and production lines, with potential for handling heavy equipment in a fully onsite role.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, performing routine maintenance, ensuring product quality, recording batch data, and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude: read blueprints, manuals, and operate machinery.
• Attention to detail and precision in inspection and monitoring.
• Weigh ingredients accurately using floor scale and flow meter.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and fix basic equipment issues.

• Follow safety protocols and health regulations to prevent hazards.
• Set up and monitor mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers; prepare batches.
• Submit finished product samples to lab for approval and calibrate pumps.

May be expected to handle heavy machinery. As Production Operator you will operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. You may be expected to handle heavy machinery. This position is fully onsite in South Brunswick, USA for the First Shift.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and shut down manufacturing machinery, including extruders or computer-controlled tools.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using tools like automatic optical inspectors.
• Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and keep the work area clean.
• Monitoring & Efficiency: Monitor production processes to optimize performance, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Reporting & Documentation: Record data regarding materials used and products produced, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and health regulations to prevent hazards.
• Preparing batches: Obtaining materials from inventory, weighing them, and ensuring the correct ratios
• Mixing: Using agitators to mix liquids, solids, and powders
• Cleaning: Sanitizing equipment, tanks, filters, pipes, lines, and pumps
• Documenting: Completing paperwork and batch documentation
• Following procedures: Adhering to hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements
• Maintaining a safe work environment: Ensuring a safe work environment in manufacturing areas
• Set up and monitor mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers
• Submit finished product samples to the lab for approval
• Verify and calibrate raw chemical feeding pumps
