Job summary

Servicon Systems, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician (temporary) to support a broad range of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.

The role requires hands-on maintenance of packages, chillers, boilers and related equipment, with responsibilities spanning installation, testing, repair and system safety oversight. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of journeyman HVAC experience, 1–3 years of plumbing work, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years journeyman HVAC experience.
• 1-3 years plumbing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• EPA Universal License required.
• Knowledge of building construction, math and mechanical systems.
• Commitment to safety procedures and legal regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, install, and maintain HVAC equipment and systems.
• Determine causes of system and equipment failures.
• Test systems using meters: continuity, amps, volts, pressures.
• Install and maintain new HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and test systems for refrigerant leaks.
• Repair leaks, evacuate, clean, purge and recharge systems.
• Advise management of critical systems that could be hazardous.
