Job summary

Coforge is seeking a Middleware Administrator with 8+ years of experience to manage and optimize middleware environments across WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly and Tomcat. You will configure web servers, implement high availability, manage Kafka/IBM MQ, Apigee, and implement observability with ELK and Grafana.

Strong IaC, CI/CD, IAM, SSO, and cloud skills are required. The role requires hands-on expertise in automation, scripting, and collaboration with ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Middleware Administration and Support.
• Hands-on with application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat.
• Experience with web servers including NGINX, Apache, IIS, IBM HTTP Server.
• Configuring HA and load-balanced middleware environments.
• Experience with Kafka and IBM MQ messaging.
• Hands-on with API Gateway platforms like Apigee.
• Observability tools: ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
• IaC/automation: Terraform, Ansible.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Source control: Git, IBM RTC.
• Incident/Change/Problem Mgmt: ServiceNow, Jira.
• Linux administration and networking basics.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud: AWS, OCI.
• IAM: Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, Ping, SiteMinder.
• SSO/OIDC: SAML, OAuth2.
• Load balancers: F5, FortiWeb, NetScaler.
• SFA/MFA authentication concepts.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl.
• Java basics; SOAP/REST web services; Angular/Java apps.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting in production; automation of tasks; maintain runbooks.

Responsibilities

Job description

Coforge is looking for Middleware Administrator candidates with below skillset :-

• 8+ years of experience in Middleware Administration and Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with application servers including WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, WildFly and Tomcat.
• Strong experience with web servers including NGINX, Apache, IIS and IBM HTTP Server (IHS).
• Experience with configuring and managing high availability and load-balanced middleware environments.
• Good experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms such as Apigee.
• Experience implementing observability solutions using ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools including Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of source control tools such as Git and IBM RTC.
• Experience using ServiceNow and Jira for Incident, Change and Problem Management.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and OCI.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies such as Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, Ping and SiteMinder.
• Strong understanding of SSO/Federation technologies including SAML, OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Experience with Load Balancers including F5, FortiWeb and NetScaler.
• Knowledge of authentication systems including Single-Factor Authentication (SFA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Good scripting skills in Bash, Perl and Python.
• Basic understanding of Java and Java-based application environments.
• Strong understanding of Web Services (SOAP, REST) and Web Applications (Angular, Java).
• Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex production environments.
• Ability to automate routine operational tasks and improve service efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, standards, procedures and operational runbooks.
• Experience in serving clients using ITIL processes (Incident, Change & Problem Management).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
