Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a test automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for embedded software, hardware-integrated systems, and end-to-end device workflows. You will work closely with engineering teams and customer stakeholders to ensure quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance of healthcare technologies used in medical devices and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in test automation developing and maintaining frameworks using Python and Pytest.
• Experience testing embedded software, medical devices, or hardware–software integrated systems.
• Hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and system-level verification activities.
• Understanding of embedded software, firmware, device drivers, and hardware–software interactions.
• Knowledge of USB, RS-232, and TCP/IP interfaces.
• Familiarity with REST API testing, backend services, and SQL databases.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Skilled in log analysis, test failure investigation, and integration troubleshooting.
• Understanding of software verification processes within regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Qt/Squish for desktop application test automation (is a plus).

About The Role

In this role, you will design and develop automated testing solutions for embedded software, hardware-integrated systems, and end-to-end device workflows, working closely with engineering teams and customer stakeholders. You will help ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of innovative healthcare technologies used in medical devices and diagnostic solutions. This is an opportunity to apply modern automation practices to products that directly support patient care in a regulated environment.

The role is based in Wroclaw or Lviv, as it requires periodic access to engineering labs and hands-on work with physical medical devices.
