Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated middle school wrestling coach in Minnesota to lead the program for the 2026-27 season. The season dates are 11/17/26 through 2/12/27, and the coach will oversee practice schedules, meet planning, and competition preparation.

Essential duties include establishing policies to inform parents and students, maintaining student welfare, enforcing the no hazing policy, attending required meetings, completing paperwork, and maintaining discipline and team morale.

Responsibilities

• Establish policies and procedures for keeping parents and students informed of activities and events.
• Maintain and oversee the welfare of students at all times; determine and maintain student’s level of competition; instruct students in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training.
• Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school program and school community.
• Carry out all regulations as described in the handbook and/or preseason meeting.
• Enforce “no hazing policy” which includes no humiliating, degrading, emotional/physical harm, language or activities.
• Attend all required meetings and submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.
