Job summary

Sylvania is looking for a dedicated Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach to support the high school wrestling program. The role involves mentoring student-athletes both on and off the mat, teaching wrestling fundamentals, and helping foster a positive team culture.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of wrestling coaching techniques, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students. A valid coaching license and CPR certification are required, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and respect within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in wrestling as a coach or athlete preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Must pass background check per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in organizing and conducting daily practices.
• Assist with teaching wrestling fundamentals and techniques.
• Supervise athletes during practices and matches.
