Job summary

Kearsley Community Schools is seeking a Wrestling Coach for Armstrong Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year, starting November 2026. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience and be capable of engaging with teenage athletes while building positive relationships with families.

Preference is given to those with a teaching certificate and the stamina to lead a competitive program. Commitment to academics and athletics is expected.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to applicants with coaching experience.
• Applicant must have minimum three years working with teenagers.
• History of positive relationships with athletes and parents.

Responsibilities

• Coach the wrestling team.
• Lead by example for student-athletes.
• Manage equipment and supplies for the program.

• Preference will be given to applicants with applicable coaching experience
• The applicant must have a minimum of three years experience in dealing successfully with teenagers
• Preference will be given to those holding a teaching certificate
• The applicant must be able to demonstrate a history of positive working relationships with athletes and their parents
• The applicant must be knowledgeable, organized, enthusiastic and willing to invest the necessary time in the program to bring about quality
• The applicant must have the necessary mental/physical ability and stamina to successfully perform assigned responsibilities
• The applicant must successfully complete a Live Scan Criminal Records check
