Job summary

La Center School District No. 101 is seeking a part-time wrestling coach to support a 7–12 program and coordinate with the High School coaching staff. The role includes assisting in setup for home matches and developing Middle School wrestlers with solid fundamentals.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and wrestling experience at the Middle School level or beyond; background checks will be conducted. Position runs Oct 19, 2026 through Dec 12, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience wrestling at the Middle School level or beyond.

Responsibilities

• Work with the High School coaching staff to develop a cohesive 7-12 program.
• Assist in setting up for home wrestling events.
• Coaching and developing athletes on the Middle School wrestling team, and instilling a good foundation of wrestling basics.

Terms of Employment

October 19, 2026 - December 12, 2026

Availability

• Available each weekday during the season at 3:30 p.m. for practices and matches. Hours will vary on match days due to travel and there is one Saturday match on December 12th
• Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
• Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense

Salary Range

$2,150 - $2,844/Season depending on experience

Benefits

• Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law.
• Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
