Job summary

La Center School District is seeking a wrestling coach to support a cohesive 7-12 program and assist with home event setup. The role emphasizes coaching middle and high school athletes and building a solid wrestling foundation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and wrestling experience at the middle school level or beyond; CPR/First Aid on file is required prior to start, plus background checks at applicant expense.

• Assisting in setting up for home wrestling events
• Coaching and developing athletes on the Middle School wrestling team, and instilling a good foundation of wrestling basics

Terms of Employment: October 19, 2026 - December 12, 2026

• Available each weekday during the season at 3:30 p.m. for practices and matches. (Hours will vary on match days due to travel and there is one Saturday match on December 12th)
• Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
• Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense

Salary Range: $2,150 - $2,844/Season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
