Job summary

The New Hope-Solebury School District is seeking a part-time MS Winter Track & Field Assistant/7th Grade Coach to support the Head Coach in organizing and developing the middle school program for winter season.

You will help supervise practices, instruct athletes in track fundamentals, assist with meet prep, communicate schedule changes, and uphold sportsmanship and safety standards across activities.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching and/or participation experience in track and field (indoor or outdoor) or related athletic programs preferred.
• Knowledge of basic track and field rules, indoor event techniques, and safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged student-athletes in an educational environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate positively with coaches, administrators, and school staff.
• Completion of required District, league, and state-mandated certifications and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in planning, organizing, and supervising the middle school winter track and field program in accordance with District policies and league regulations.
• Support the instruction and supervision of student-athletes during practices, meets, and related activities.
• Instruct athletes in track fundamentals, including indoor running events and field events as assigned.
• Assist with meet preparation and management, including venue setup, warm-ups, event organization, and equipment transport/breakdown.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and staff regarding schedule changes and event details.
• Uphold district codes of conduct, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
