Strong candidates will have current First Aid/CPR, concussion education, and prior coaching experience at the middle or high school level.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Concussion Education and Athlete Safety course are required.
• Proven coaching experience at the middle school or high school level is preferred.
• Working knowledge of the sport and understanding of its rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for coaching.
• Past sport playing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Greenhills policies as outlined in MHSAA and coaches' handbooks.
• Provide clear instructional strategies and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Promote a positive attitude and academic achievement.
• Reflect on coaching practices and pursue professional development.
• Support and encourage multi-sport participation for students.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Be available in the afternoons (2:30 pm) for practices/contests; some weekends.
• Cultivate student accountability and commitment to the team.
• Ensure student safety with proper supervision, safety instruction, and inspections.
• Serve as a role model with appropriate boundaries in student and professional relationships.
