Job summary

Nash County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Middle School Tutor for the Our Lady of Perpetual Help program in Nashville, NC. The tutor will support selected students demonstrating deficiencies in reading and math under supervision of teachers and the principal.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in education and a valid NC teaching license; experience in tutoring or targeted interventions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license or applicable educator certification.
• Experience providing instruction, tutoring, or targeted academic interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students according to project objectives
• Provides school and program information to teachers, students and their parents
• Provides appropriate instructional and support services
• Prepares, maintains, and complete required work logs, schedules, forms, and reports
• Participates in assigned staff development activities to improve job skills
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee
