Job summary

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of all athletic policies.
• Knowledge of system, state and league regulations; interpret for staff.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Substantial knowledge of the sport's technical aspects and evolving theories.
• Ability to be a positive role model for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Participates in budgeting with the athletic director for upcoming season.
• Recommends equipment guidelines and manages budget within appropriations.
• Organizes preseason meetings with parents, coaches, players and guests.
• Promotes the sport within the school and community.
• Maintains public relations with media, booster clubs, and fans.
• Ensures safety, discipline and proper conduct during practices and games.
