• Implement a variety of effective, research-based instructional strategies to engage learners with the standards.
• Monitor and assess student progress frequently using formative and summative assessments; provide feedback.
• Analyze data to adjust instruction and support student needs.
• Adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners and reteach when needed.
• Implement district initiatives effectively.
• Maintain consistent and timely parent communication using appropriate structures.
• Meet or exceed professional responsibilities and professional behavior expectations.

Middle School Teacher certified in any core subject area (Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, or Social Studies).

Qualifications

Applicants must have a current Arkansas Teaching License.

Applicants must have effective instructional skills and experiences, along with a proven background in education.

Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

Principal and Assistant Principal

Terms of Employment:

190 days with benefits provided according to the Siloam Springs School Board policies.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Work collaboratively with content team (PLC) and grade level interdisciplinary team.
2. Teach the Arkansas Standards associated with Grade 6, Grade 7 and/or Grade 8
3. Implement a variety of effective, research based instructional strategies consistently to engage learners with the essential learning standards.
4. Monitor and assess student progress frequently, using both formative and summative assessments, and provide appropriate feedback.
5. Effectively use and analyze data to adjust instruction and/or support student needs
6. Adjust instruction within the classroom (Tier I) to meet the needs of all learners, reteaching when needed and extending learning for others.
7. Effectively implement district initiatives.
8. Maintain consistent and timely parent communication using appropriate structures.

10. Embrace middle school model and philosophy.

Other Job Functions:

1. Have or develop a working knowledge of core subject practices, disciplinary literacy, and evidence-based strategies that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
