Job summary

Houston Classical Charter School is seeking a Middle School Teacher (5th–7th) to join our charter school in Houston. The role reports to the Principal and offers a salary in the $60,000–$68,000 range with exempt status.

The teacher will implement a rigorous, inquiry-based curriculum spanning ELA, Math, Science, and Humanities, using Socratic questioning, engaging discussions, and hands-on activities to foster high achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Texas certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience with scholars in testing grades is preferred.
• Experience in educational or youth development settings is a plus.

Houston Classical Charter School ("Houston Classical") was chartered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to open in Houston in August 2020 beginning with kindergarten and first grade. The school has an accomplished and committed Board, which includes a founding Board and a Head of School. We are looking for experienced, dedicated, and motivated individuals who are excited by the challenge of being part of a new school. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a clean, organized, and scholar-centered classroom environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (required)
