Classical Charter Schools in New York City is seeking a math teacher to join a high-performing urban charter network. This salaried role reports to the School Director and runs from 7:30am to 4:45pm, with additional out-of-school responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze academic and behavior data to identify student needs.
• Collaborate with coaches and teams to implement instructional improvements based on data.
• Proactively seek feedback from team leaders and coaches to improve practice.

Our teachers work relentlessly to achieve these challenging, mission-critical goals. Successful teachers:

• Study, practice, and execute lessons that influence scholars to master daily standard-aligned objectives, faithfully using our rigorous, classical curriculum
• Revise lessons for clarity, rigor and relevance, with guidance and support from instructional coaches
• Collect and analyze academic and behavior data to pinpoint scholar needs
• Collaborate in teams and with coaches to resolve challenges and implement instructional improvements driven by quantitative and qualitative data
• Proactively seek and implement feedback from team leaders and coaches to improve their practice

Qualifications

• Teaching certification OR at least two year of teaching experience in math
• Teaching certification is preferred, but candidates without certification who demonstrate strong qualifications are encouraged to apply

• Have experience working at a high-performing charter school
