Job summary

Charter Schools USA seeks a MS Permanent Substitute to ensure smooth and complete instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. You will enable students to pursue their education with minimal disruption, following prepared plans and maintaining daily routines.

You will report on daily activities, collaborate with principals, and adhere to CSUSA policies while upholding high educational standards and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
• Works and interacts with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Computer basics including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches the lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Reviews plans with the principal and designated teacher to follow during the day.
• Reports in writing the day's activities and provides feedback to the principal.
• Follows school and CSUSA policies and procedures.
• Consults with the principal before initiating any lesson not in the plans.
• Maintains established routines and supervises pupil behavior as assigned.
• Maintains good relations with faculty and staff and handles information confidentially.
