Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Florida seeks a MS Permanent Substitute to keep learning on track in the absence of the regular teacher. You will follow prepared lesson plans, deliver instruction, and monitor student progress throughout the day.

In this role you will report daily activities, maintain classroom routines, and ensure adherence to CSUSA policies while supporting a safe and productive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Completion of District’s Substitute Workshop.
• Commitment to CSUSA values and mission.
• Alternatives CSUSA may consider acceptable.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Review plans with principal or designated teacher and follow the daily schedule.
• Teach the lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Report in writing the day’s activities and provide feedback to the principal.
• Follow all CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures.
• Consult with principal before initiating any new lesson not in the plans.
• Maintain established routines and supervise student behavior as needed.
• Maintain good relations with faculty and staff and protect confidentiality.
