Job summary

Seymour Community Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires a valid DPI Wisconsin Substitute Teaching License or eligibility to earn the license with a Bachelor's Degree and involves teaching middle school students.

The position runs Monday–Friday 7:30–3:30 on days students are in session. It is temporary and not eligible for benefits, with duties including curriculum delivery, behavior management, and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum aligned to district frameworks and objectives.
Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules in accordance with school policy.
Maintain an organized classroom and monitor student progress and development.
Assign, grade, and provide timely feedback on learning activities.
Keep accurate records of student progress and required reporting.
Participate in school activities beyond the regular day as needed.
Communicate progress and needs to students, colleagues, and parents.
Adhere to Board policies, including substance-free workplace expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
